Répartie privacy policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Répartie is a practice app for the TCF Canada. This page explains which data we process, why, with whom, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. Répartie is not affiliated with France Éducation international, which designs the TCF.
Who is responsible
Publisher and data controller: Fedi GHALLOUSSI, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel, France), [TO COMPLETE: address]. Privacy contact: [TO COMPLETE: email address].
The data we process
- Account: an identifier created without email or password.
- Profile: goal (target program and CLB level), test date, app language.
- Consents: what you accepted or declined, and when.
- Practice: audio recordings of your spoken answers, their transcript, your written copies, your answers to reading and listening questions, the reports produced (estimated levels, corrections, advice), your answers to the question of the day, and your activity (test dates, tests in progress, day streak).
- Purchases: the product bought, dates and subscription status, sent by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
- Technical data: usage costs per account (for reasonable-use limits) and technical error logs (they may name the technical identifier of a test, never your answers). Your IP address is only used to limit abuse: it is kept in memory, in a hashed form, for one minute at most, and never stored.
- Usage measurement: a few usage events (app opened, key steps such as the diagnostic or the subscription page, purchases started, completed or cancelled, reminder settings, technical errors and crashes), with the platform, the app version and a few details (chosen plan and its price, day streak, reminder time). They are tied to a random installation identifier, not to your account, renewed every 13 months and when the account is deleted, and stay on our servers. You can turn it off in Profile → Usage statistics.
- Reminders: if you turn them on, reminders (question of the day, exam countdown) are scheduled on your phone. Usage measurement, when on, only counts turning them on or off, the chosen time, and opening a notification.
We do not show ads, sell any data, build no voiceprint and use no advertising trackers.
Why
- To provide the practice: make the virtual examiner speak, transcribe your answers, correct your work and estimate your level (performance of the contract).
- To manage your subscription (performance of the contract).
- To prevent abuse and control costs (legitimate interest).
- To understand how the app is used and fix errors, through usage measurement (legitimate interest; you can object in Profile).
- AI processing of your answers relies on your consent, asked before the first oral test; you can withdraw it at any time, and the AI features then stop.
Artificial intelligence
Claire, the examiner, is an artificial intelligence speaking with a synthetic voice. Her replies and the corrections are produced by AI models. The levels shown are unofficial estimates, presented as ranges.
Our providers
- Anthropic (United States): Claude AI models, for the examiner’s replies and the grading. Anthropic does not train its models on this data. Data is deleted at Anthropic within 30 days, except data flagged by its safety filters, which may be kept longer.
- Deepgram (United States): transcription of your spoken answers and the examiner’s voice. We ask Deepgram not to use your recordings to improve its models.
- RevenueCat (United States): purchase and subscription management.
- Apple and Google: payment. RevenueCat also receives your phone’s identifier specific to our apps (Apple’s identifier for vendor), for purchases to work.
- Hosting: OVHcloud, in France (Gravelines): application server, database and audio recordings.
These transfers outside the European Union and Quebec are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
How long
- Audio recordings: deleted from our servers within 32 days of recording.
- Transcripts (question of the day included), copies, answers and reports: deleted 18 months after your last activity.
- Accounts inactive for 6 months, with no current subscription: deleted entirely.
- Usage measurement, error reports, usage costs and purchase notification history: 13 months.
- Database backups: 7 days.
- When you delete your account: everything is deleted at once from our database (purchase history included) and storage, your record is deleted at RevenueCat, and the installation identifier is renewed; backups expire within 7 days. Apple and Google keep their own purchase receipts.
Your rights
You can access, correct and delete your data, ask for a copy, object to a processing or withdraw your consent.
- Delete your account and data: in the app, Profile → Delete my account and data, or by email at the address above, giving the account ID shown at the bottom of Profile (see the Delete your account page).
- For any other request, write to us; we answer within 30 days.
- You can also contact your data protection authority: the CNIL in France, the Commission d’accès à l’information in Quebec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Age
Répartie is meant for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
We will tell you in the app about any significant change to this policy.
